Visited this SWT reserve with Rafi in the hope of close views of Kingfisher. Unfortunately the Kingfishers have been difficult to see for the last couple of years and so we were unsuccessful.

Damselflies were abundant, especially Common Blues.  Very few butterflies were seen although I did see my first Comma of the year.

From the hides we had good views of many species including a rare or escaped drake Red-crested Pochard.  Mute Swans were accompanied by their cygnets.
