Visited Lakenheath Fen with my grandson Rafi.  For the first time in a long time the weather was fine, quite warm and very sunny.

Many newly emerged dragonflies and damselflies where seen including a good number of Scarce Chasers.

From the hide we had good views of Water Rail, both adult and fluffy chicks, and coots feeding young.

Over the reedbed Hobbies were catching dragonflies and we saw a single Bittern in flight.

In the evening we moved on to Thetford Forest were we had singing tree pipits and later on fantastic close views of Nightjars.
